FAQs

1What does The Monster compare to?
The new 300km Ultimate Monster has no similar events anywhere in the UK, or possibly around Europe.
Although there are some events that are around 300km in distance, none of them have anywhere near as much climbing (typically under half!)

Do NOT underestimate The Monster!!
2How many riders will be taking part?
For 2017 we have moved the HQ to increase the maximum number of riders able to take part.
The maximum number of riders is 250.
3Can I enter on the day?
No. Entries are online in advance only and close 1 week before the event, or when all 250 available places are filled.

The 300km Ultimate Monster is limited to 100 riders. The 200km Original Monster is limited to 150 riders.
4What do I need to carry?
You will need to carry everything that you normally carry for a long, tough training ride.

The route will be fully marked, with GPX files provided to entrants prior to the event.

The feed stations will be fully stocked with a range of food and water, although we do not supple energy drink.
We also offer Drop Boxes (option for 200km, standard for 300km route). In the boxes you can add spare food, energy power, small clothing layers or spares. No other sportive offers this service.
